Canadian Car & Life Insurance Guides 2026

By Roberto Gomes | Updated October 2026

Every Canadian guide on Prime Capital Report, organised by topic and province. Car insurance in Canada works differently in each province: British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba sell basic coverage through a public insurer, Quebec splits coverage between the SAAQ and private insurers, and the other provinces rely on private insurers. Each guide uses dated figures from regulators, public insurers or published rate tables; the headline figure below comes from that guide. Amounts are in Canadian dollars.
